Very happy to have been able to contribute to this new understanding of PINK1 regulation! Great work Miratul Muqit
Many thanks @MorelLab4 for hosting me, the hospitality and showing the great science that is going on INEM NECKER. I really enjoyed my visit!
Congratulations Dr Lorentzen on successfully defending your PhD thesis! Well done and we’ll deserved. Thanks also for the super hand knitted mitochondria hat! Many thanks to examiners Oliver Florey and Will Farnaby too!
🔬Exciting #JobAlert! 🌟Are you interested in cytoskeletons and their role in organelle biogenesis and autophagy? Very excited to share our new article reporting that #PINK1 has an impact on mitochondrial homeostasis and basal levels of #mitophagy in mouse skeletal muscles, enabling to study the pathway in mammalian tissues without overt stresses. MRC PPU Ganley Lab tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…
Out Now! Updated story on #HRI kinase as a negative regulator of #PINK1 mitophagy. We now show that the small molecule ISR inhibitor #ISRIB boosts PINK1 activation. Collaboration with Ganley Lab Rousseau Lab MRC PPU & @GlennMasson Click here for paper shorturl.at/G0IzL
We are enormously grateful to the Medical Research Council (MRC)/UKRI for their generous long-term support - 34 years and counting - for our research Unit at the University of Dundee ppu.mrc.ac.uk/news/further-p… Medical Research Council UK Research and Innovation #Dundee
New paper out! #AMPK regulates #ULK1 to balance #mitophagy of functional vs dysfunctional mitochondria in Molecular Cell. Great work from authors, especially Marianna Longo Aniketh Bishnu and collaborators @Kei_Sakamoto Carol MacKintosh. See it here: tinyurl.com/AMPK-ULK
Opposing roles for AMPK in regulating distinct mitophagy pathways. Check out this recent article in Molecular Cell by Ganley Lab, Marianna Longo, Aniketh Bishnu @Kei_Sakamoto, Carol MacKintosh #CellBio2024 hubs.li/Q02_YxPD0
I want to highlight this Workshop I will be chairing with Prof Tiong Ong on Mitochondria Biology at #ESHCML2025 meeting in Estoril. We are lucky to have 3 excellent speakers, Ian Ganley Ganley Lab Payam Gammage Payam A. Gammage and Els Mansell Els Mansell, sharing their expertise!
