For all of Atlético Madrid's recent faults in the transfer market, making €60m back on Conor Gallagher and Raspadori is incredible business. I anticipated both leaving on loan before settling for significant losses. Mateu Alemany masterclass?

Martin Zubimendi's goal for Arsenal at Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final. Captured by an Arsenal fan, behind Mikel Arteta's dugout, behind enemy lines. With full view of the away end limbs 👀

Despite Real Madrid's obvious problems, where does Albacete's win rank amongst the greatest Copa Del Rey upsets? Greatest Cup competition in world football.

Ter Stegen going on loan to Girona makes a lot of sense for everyone. He's not going to play at all for Barcelona, but stays relatively local. Girona (in theory) get an upgrade on Gazzaniga, with Livakovic to leave. Let's see what level he can still play at after injury.

Those half time whistles at the Bernabéu are damning. Real Madrid have been well below par. Levante have sat deep and Real have done very little to try and break them down.

Really poor at the back from Villarreal and Betis take the lead through Ruibal. So many opportunities to get the ball clear. Parejo sends the ball straight into Ruibal's path after Renato Veiga gives it away. Got to get back into this game.

Unfortunately, that is a red for Santi Comesaña. Grudge tackle after losing his head. Poor from such an otherwise reliable and experienced player. Result probably beyond salvation now. Frustrating evening.

Pape Gueye wins AFCON for Senegal after Brahim Diaz's penalty shocker! Their first games back at club level could see the pair face each other again, as Villarreal play Real Madrid next week. 👀

I really liked Raul Moro last season. Was a shining light in a dismal Real Valladolid side. No idea what's happened to him at Ajax since, but a loan with an option to buy would suit a lot of La Liga sides. Replacement for Ilias Akhomach at Villarreal? 👀

Aleix Febas has so much in his locker. Can push up from deep positioning to make an impact further forward. Lovely finish to open the scoring for Elche against Sevilla. Martim Neto so good in the buildup. Goal somewhat against the run of play.

Levante's debts are now at €160 million up €20 million on the season before. If they didn't come up this season they'd have been in huge trouble, and all of this with salary control. Without it you dread to think what financial state clubs could get in and we see in the years

Germán Valera has been battling well with Vlachodimos in the last few minutes. First had a 1v1 saved after an attempted chip. Then doubled Elche's lead with a well-placed finish into the bottom corner. Sevilla haven't been bad today but this game is getting away from them.

That Sevilla penalty feels so harsh for me. The ball hits Álvaro Rodríguez's hands, but they're tucked in, right in front of him. Where is he meant to put them? Even if it is a penalty within the current technicalities of law, I don't think decisions like this benefit anyone.

The equaliser for Sevilla was coming though, penalty or not. Elche too open at the back even at 2-0, but they also squandered so many openings where they could have extended their lead. Some positives but also a few negatives made clear for Eder Sarabia tonight.
