It’s not “AI slop” because it looks horrible it’s slop because there’s no human creativity in it. Same reason tracing manga in elementary school didn’t make you an artist. It’s poor imitation masquerading as art, and it’s exhausting how many people can’t grasp that difference

My taste in art has evolved so many times in my life that I’m not really big on being super arrogant about my thoughts most of the time. Gotta leave room for the fact that I might change my mind in two years.

Genuinely this is what sucks about hyperconsumption. There is no time to allow things to simmer, no oxygen to allow ideas and visuals to permeate into the collective consciousness. And so what passes for culture is mere content - surface and depthless and thin of substance.

yes you should go to local shows & see small bands at small venues but also i think it’s completely reasonable to also want to see a popular artist without taking out a personal loan

I think it’s dope how museums/exhibits give you the artist’s intention upfront in that first section when you walk in. Not to explain the work, just to give context. It lets you experience it for what it is instead of what you think it should be. Music needs its version of that.

Watching meaningful interviews, from meaningful artists with real perspective is amazing. Sometimes you forget what a great interview suppose to be like, until you have artists and journalists that give them.

Don't be lazy and use A.I. Just sit with your thoughts and write. You don't want the uncanny valley vibes in your stories. It just sucks. Sometimes time is necessary to crack story. Let it. Be patient. Go for a walk. Read a book. Be with people. Life forges art.
