Sigrid Jusélius Foundation announced "Young group leaders" grantees on March 15th. We are extremely greatful for support and pleased to see that the Foundation sees promise in LRL´s research ! The new project focusing on retinal plasticity receives it´s first funding in Finland.

Here we present a drug repurposing strategy to treat retinal degenerations. Our treatment slows retinal degeneration in an etiology-independent manner in several distinct disease models. Next milestone: clinical trial in human patients. nature.com/articles/s4146…
