New #preprint with Saskia Hogenhout et. al.: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… We generated chromosome-scale genome assemblies of the English and Indian grain aphids (Sitobion species). Fun detective work shows that hybridisation has been an important force in grain #aphid evolution. 🧵
