Found this clip of Cardinal O' Donnell and Bishop McNeely when they were in Cork in 1926. Filmed a short time before Cardinal O' Donnell passed away. It's the only footage I have seen of late Cardinal in existence. #donegal #sainteunanscathedral bit.ly/2KshJyH

It was amazing to go down to the river bank and imagine that such a massive battle happened there! I wonder if one were to excavate, what would you find? Letterkenny History

Blakes Bar Letterkenny has been up a pub on Main Street since 1846 first known as Lagan Bar and run by John Doherty. The #pub is now run by Kevin Blake who is John Doherty's great, great, great grandson. A fact from Ciaran Kelly of Letterkenny History new book. bit.ly/3ewMpfG
