In 1936, Pyrex introduced Flameware. It was called Flameware to indicate that it could stand up to being used on top of the stove, over flame. For about 10 years, the glass had a bluish tint to it caused by alumino-sulfate added to the glass formula. #ljhistory #lakejackson
