The second term of our electives programme is well underway. New choices such as indoor cricket, cross-stitch and hair design have been extremely popular and it is great to see student’s enjoying a huge range of different activities. #TheLongdendaleLegacy

The Greater Manchester Autism Consortium are running a free course about Understanding Sensory Needs. It’s available to parents of children who either have an Autism diagnosis or are awaiting one. The course is FREE, but booking is essential at autismgm.org.uk/events

It was lovely to host Year 5 students from MottramCofE yesterday. They visited our languages department where they learnt lots of Spanish vocabulary, tried some Spanish treats and decorated a paper plate with their favourite foods!

Our library is running a valentines themed event for students this month. All students who pick and review one of the wrapped books will receive 10 legacy points!

Year 10 3D Design students visited Sea Life Manchester yesterday to capture primary source photographs to inform their experiments and outcomes for their Marine Life project. They also learned about endangered marine species and global rehabilitation efforts.
