More DYW activities in swing for LHS Technologies! S2 and Higher Business were joined by Emma from Weecakesnbakes, who told us her pathway into owning her cake business🎂 Pupils loved hearing about aspects of running a small business as well as hearing Emma’s favourite flavour🍰

Fantastic morning in LHS Technologies, immersing our S3 pupils in DYW events. Employers from Historic Environment Scotland, calahomes, Merakicreativedesign, Hearth Architects and -ism architects provided career talks and pupils took part in exciting workshops related to these careers ⭐️

S2 Year Team @ LHS Finance revision in full swing! Across both classes we took part in a carousel of activities ahead of a unit assessment 🎠 We had Jenga questions, cash budgets, heads up and everyone’s favourite- Revision Pong 🏓

What a morning Team Tech had this morning, with 9 different industry professionals coming in to provide workshops and presentations to a huge number of S3 Year Team. 💸🛠️ Pupils were so engaged and had fantastic questions! 👏 I have a million pictures but 4 will need to do! 📸

Business specifically had visitors from Barr Soft Drinks, Malcolm Allan, Franklin Templeton and an events supervisor for Falkirk Council! A great range of potential pathways and job roles for our young people. 👏

What a lovely lunch celebrating our Future Asset girls! Our senior teams were joined by their coaches from Scottish Enterprise, who were amazing during the competition!✨ It was great to reflect on the competition and showcase our amazing pitches with a sweet treat🧁 Well done girls!🤩

S2 STEM classes had an exciting visit from Alexander Dennis! Inspired by the talk, pupils worked in teams to build mini double-decker buses from stainless steel, putting their teamwork and engineering skills to the test. Fantastic effort !@LHSTechnologies LHS STEM S2 Year Team @ LHS 🚌

On Friday we held a mini celebration for all of the girls who participated in Future Asset this year to acknowledge the hard work and effort they put into the competition. 🧁💸 The experience gained by the girls each year is so valuable and important - #BudgeUpDave! 📈

Last week S3 conducted interviews as part of their HR unit. One pupil was the interviewer, and had to take notes and rate the answer, whilst the other pupil had either a poor, average or excellent script to follow. 💬 Some great discussions about the responses afterwards! 🙌✨
