.Lt. Gov. Sabina Matos and I are hitting the airwaves to invite Rhode Islanders to our Hispanic Heritage Month party! All are welcome this Friday at 6:00PM at the State House for an evening you won’t want to miss! Come for food, performances, music, and a special surprise or two!
This morning, we kicked off the LocalBiz Resilience Program at the Woonsocket Education Center! Through this initiative, 14 local businesses will receive funding, financial planning tools, and ongoing support to ensure their long-term success.
General Treasurer James A. Diossa and Lt. Gov. Sabina Matos co-hosting a public Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at the State House at 6 p.m. Friday.
We just received $125.4M from U.S. Department of Transportation to help build a brand new Washington Bridge. We're grateful to President Biden, Secretary Pete Buttigieg and our top-notch Congressional Delegation for supporting this important investment in Rhode Island's infrastructure.
#TeamRhodeIsland used every tool in its toolbox to pursue these dollars: ✅Submitted a compelling application ✅Brought Secretary Pete Buttigieg to the bridge ✅Worked w/ Secretary Gina Raimondo to advocate for $ ✅Traveled to DC to make our case ✅Spoke directly w/ President Biden ✅Worked closely with CODEL
The whole of Rhode Island government is aligned on the urgency of building a brand new Washington Bridge. Governor Dan McKee, Senator Jack Reed, Sheldon Whitehouse, Congressman Seth Magaziner, and Congressman Gabe Amo have secured over $125m in federal support to construct a safe new bridge that RI can rely on!
It was a pleasure to attend Lt. Gov. Sabina Matos and Rhode Island General Treasurer James A. Diossa’s Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration tonight at the State House to honor the contributions of Rhode Island’s diverse Hispanic communities.
Thank you Lt. Gov. Sabina Matos and Rhode Island General Treasurer James A. Diossa for bringing us all together at the State House to celebrate Rhode Island's vibrant Hispanic community during #HispanicHeritageMonth!
Working in education takes real dedication — and Rhode Island teachers deliver. Lt. Gov. Sabina Matos and I joined Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) at a special WaterFire Providence to thank our educators and celebrate the remarkable work they do to put our students on a path to success.
