This week Burnley FC have unveiled a new pride range, and we're loving it. What we haven't been loving, are the homophobic comments. One specifically told Em our chair that the only people who care about such things are 'our lot'

Well...

43% of LGBTQ+ people think public sporting events aren’t a welcoming space for them... Of course 'my lot' care...

Homophobic language, chants and attitudes are still very much present at sporting events, especially at football matches.

So we'll keep pushing and campaigning for representation and acceptance till outdated attitudes are no longer welcome, at our club and eventually in the county as a whole...

Want to see less rainbows? Less posts about inclusivity?

Speak up when you hear homophobic language, challenge outdated attitudes, make the Turf a safe and welcoming space for all...

Then we won't need it.
