Thank you Mary Doherty! This preprint (undergoing peer-review) examines neurodiversity among the researchers of AIMS-2-TRIALS🥼🔬🧠We found that a notable % of researchers have personal links to autism & that neuroidentity & gender influence career role, income & mental health.

We are committed to finding out why #autistic people are at an increased risk of #epilepsy and #seizures . To do this, we need to recruit more participants.

We hope to understand:
- Why autistic people are at an increased risk of seizures
- Which autistic people are more likely to get seizures
- If we can predict which autistic people may develop seizures in the future

About 12.5% of #autistic individuals have or will develop #epilepsy . This rate is about 15x that of non-autistic people!
Our AIMS-2-TRIALS research study, at King's College London aims to answer essential questions about why this happens.
