Starting Sept. 16, 2024, LDWF will lower Lake Lafourche to prepare for a new boat launch at Arrowhead Point and improve fisheries. The lake will stay open for fishing, but watch for stumps. Home and camp owners should prepare for low water levels. buff.ly/4da4D30

Excitement was in the air this weekend as we celebrated the grand opening of Apocalypse Sports LLC and their new indoor shooting range - the first to be opened through our Target Range Grant Program!

Dove season kicked off last Saturday with LDWF hosting hunts across Louisiana, including a lottery hunt at Elbow Slough WMA and a public hunt near Colfax. 30 hunters were chosen for Elbow Slough, while 230 joined the Colfax hunt on a 305-acre field. #DoveSeason #LDWF #Hunting
