Attended a session of the 2025 Jeju Forum on the ROK's activities at the UN Security Council as a discussant. It's always useful and enriching to talk with a wider spectrum of stakeholders in our diplomatic work.

Two years have passed since UNGA elected the ROK as an UNSC member for 2024-25 term, with it my taking the responsibility of overseeing our UNSC activities. Many thanks to all who've been with us so far and sincere hopes for their continued support until the finishing line!

Had a virtual meeting with Pakistani colleagues regarding UN Security Council activities, including their and our presidencies in July and in September, respectively. The more interactions among the Council members, the better, I'm sure.

Talked with my younger colleagues who are in training at the entry point of their diplomatic service career regarding multilateral & UNSC issues. Delighted and impressed by their active and enriching participation in the discussions.

Hosted a farewell dinner for Ambassador Dagmar Tartagli of Switzerland in Seoul, joined by Ambassadors Anne Kari Hansen Ovind of Norway and Jernej Muller of Slovenia. It was also an opportunity to discuss issues of common interest, including UN's role in this challenging world.
