Only 24 people have served longer in Congress than Hal who began his congressional service January 3, 1981. In 2011, upon his 30th year in office, we were proud to bestow on him our highest honor, the Distinguished Rural Kentuckian award. Kentucky is a better place #BecauseOfHal

We are monitoring ⁦Governor Andy Beshear⁩ declaring a state of emergency ahead of a debilitating ice storm. We appreciate his focus on safety & urge co-op members to prepare today. Keep your phones charged & stock your storm preparedness kit. Crews are gearing up.

This morning I requested the capitol dome be lit up blue & yellow in a show of support for Ukraine (others surely did too) and tonight they made it happen on the Capitol dome and Governor’s mansion. My thanks to Governor Andy Beshear and First Lady Britainy Beshear. 🇺🇦 #kyga22 #Ukraine #Kentucky

It's one of the most important stories I’ve ever reported. The US is phasing out reliable energy sources just when we need them the most. kentuckyliving.com/energy/gamblin…

Kentucky’s electric cooperatives are proud of our legacy connection to the National Farm Machinery Show With a goal of educating farmers about electricity on the farm, we helped organize the first show in a small tobacco warehouse in 1963. It evolved into the national show 3 years later. 🚜 ⚡️ 💡

78 years ago today, Private First Class Franklin R. Sousley, a 19-year-old man from Fleming County, Kentucky, along with five other brave Marines, raised the flag on top of Iwo Jima, signaling the capture of Mount Suribachi. We must never forget his sacrifice, nor the sacrifices

We’re doing all we can to keep reliable power plants operating - despite forces who want to shut them down & risk electric reliability Don’t let the power outages in this BLACKOUT ad become a reality Support reliable power 🏀 players should shoot the lights out. Not bad policy
