Popped the champagne 🍾 last week in Groningen to celebrate that my paper (with the effort of so many incredible people) got accepted Nature Cell Biology. More soon on when it will be published!
With immense pride I post here that my paper is published in Nature Cell Biology! nature.com/articles/s4155… We show that the chaperone DNAJB6 is involved in the biogenesis of nuclear pore complexes, and the maintenance of the disordered proteins that make up the transport barrier
There's also a nice News & Views on both our work and the co-submitted paper from Christian Schlieker nature.com/articles/s4155… Written by @KirsteinLab
Happy to share our last article in Nature Communications We determined the #CryoEM structure of full-length hnRNPDL-2 fibrils, a human functional #amyloid associated with a rare muscular dystrophy, with Stefano Ricagno & M. Bolognesi Key findings below (1/5) nature.com/articles/s4146…
Our article (with Dirk Görlich, Simone Reber Abin Biswas ) is just online: nature.com/articles/s4146… we systematically engineered and tested a wide range of phase-separating FG repeat domains in nuclear pores for years, now we report this interesting story #biocondensate
It's out! Read here our perspective in FEBS Letters on the recent findings in the field of nucleoporin condensation and nuclear pore complex assembly and how this might link to neurological disorders doi.org/10.1002/1873-3…
Started from the 1st of October in the The Wilfling Lab Max Planck Institute of Biophysics where I will continue my research on nuclear pore complexes and their quality control 🔬🧫 exciting things to come!
This Friday from 17-22h: Night of Science! Max Planck Institute of Biophysics two of us will give a talk: Fabian on how cells get rid of their waste, and Els Kuiper on how our cells stay healthy with age. More of us will be there to make ice cream and do small experiments 🧪🍦 don't miss it!
It was great to contribute to the Night of Science! 🧪 We opened the doors of our institute Max Planck Institute of Biophysics for an evening and it was really amazing to see so many people interested in science, and to share a small peek into our research The Wilfling Lab
Incredibly grateful to be part of EMBO Fellows which enabled me to attend the Self-leadership for Women course. The insights, empowerment, and connections gained are invaluable! We're ready to contribute to a stronger, more inclusive scientific community. #WomenInScience
