After introducing subordinating conjunctions to our ambitious Y2 children, we recognised that we could improve our presentation. A clear example of how important modelling and clear expectations are. Can’t wait to see the children use these conjunctions in their story writing!

To begin our letter writing focus in Y2, the children used their knowledge of conjunctions to describe Paddington's character. They developed this by learning how to write expanded noun phrases to describe his appearance and items. What a brilliant start! Western Primary School
