Third grade students in Miss Murphy’s class learned how to emboss tin to create symmetrical designs of the sun! Students learned the history of the sunstone with this project. Muhlenberg SD
Kindergarten students listened to Juana Martinez-Neal’s Alma and How She Got Her Name before sharing stories about their names. Afterwards, students practiced tracing their names. Next, they transformed their letters into thick shapes with pastels! Muhlenberg SD
First grade students started this year in art talking about the words culture and respect. Before learning about the art of different countries, students learned even though people can be different on the outside, we are all the same on the inside Muhlenberg SD
Third grade students learned why the sun was a symbol in Aztec, Incan, and Mayan art. They created scratch art papers with crayon and tempera paint to draw and scratch their own designs of the sun! Students created warm or cool color designs Muhlenberg SD
