What’s going to be an unintended result of Columbia having their students arrested is they’re about to expose a bunch of middle and upper middle class families to how NYPD, cash bail, and Rikers are weaponized against people in this city everyday.

The Columbia stuff is part of a larger pattern: millennials and especially Gen Z have distinct views on important political questions. Older generations are digging in to maintain policy positions that are increasingly out of step with younger Americans.
