Today, we attended the UCLG Executive Board meeting online, ahead of the World Forum on Local Economic Development in Seville, April 1–4, 2025. We exchanged views on global cooperation and the role of local governments in sustainable development.

🔴 UCLG ExBU 2025 📍 Online 🔵 Mayor of @KONYAINT & UCLG Executive President, Uğur İbrahim Altay, highlighted LRGs' positioning among the cooperations between development agencies & national governments, & stressed that LRGs' role should not be taken for granted in this regard.

We hosted the 3rd Ordinary General Assembly of the Union of International Agricultural Cities,which has 310 members from 24 countries, at our Çatalhöyük Promotion and Welcoming Center. I am honored to have been re-elected as the president of our union during the general assembly

We will continue to work in solidarity with all our members to shape the future of agriculture together and to prepare our cities for a sustainable tomorrow. I sincerely thank all members and everyone who contributed.

We held our UCLG-MEWA Executive Bureau Meeting hosted by Aksaray Municipality, where we made important decisions for our region. I would like to thank the Mayor of Aksaray, Mr. Evren Dinçer, for his hospitality.
