I am honoured to be a mentor in the Food and Agriculture Organization & @IAFN Accelerator Mentorship Programme for Women led SME's in Africa. Knowledge transfer and guidiance are a vital tool to ensuring small businesses succeed. Learning from other people's experiences can help SME's minimise mistakes!

The #GFN is about stories, farmers and our diverse stories. To consecrate this purpose, nothing better than listening to Gabriel Carballal 🇺🇾 son of a No-till pioneer at Ausid & onyaole koku 🇳🇬 Powerful woman who always reminds everyone "To help a #farmer, talk to a #farmer"😉

Necessity they say is the mother of invention. We have been working to get farmers in Nigeria to adopt Zero Tillage. Lack of access to machinery has left over 70% of farmers no choice but to do it manually. Farming in Africa is a tough Job.#tailormade4Africaequipment @kokuonyi

Farming is back breaking work moreso in some climes. Imagine how much physical energy goes into cultivating half a hectare of crop. This is still the norm for most farmers. #tailoredmechanization4foodsecurity @kokuonyi International Fund for Agricultural Development

Our poor yields are compounded by challenges due to under fertilization(high cost) & low quality quality fertilizers. I make the case for gene edited biological solutions that cause staple crop to fix Nitrogen as a catalyst for a food secure Africa. @kokuonyi Pivot Bio

In the early days of the plantation we struggled to get our water system installed, after delays with well drilling & wrong advice from "experts" we became the experts with guidiance from GFN colleagues. We have trained our staff who have no formal education to install.@kokuonyi

Did you know the Global Farmer Network is a non-profit org. governed by farmer board members, advisory board members and industry board members? The board hosted their annual meeting in Washington D.C. As we were created by farmers, we are still ran and led by our farmer members!

Those right here was my igniter. She is also my mentor, the way she cheers me on makes me keep going. We have a message, I am honoured to be one of the bearers. Farmers leading the fight against hunger must have a place at the table.
