4. International Forum on Migration Statistics Convenes to Improve Migration Data! Migration experts, policymakers, and data scientists from around the world are convening in Malmö, Sweden, for the Fourth International Forum on Migration Statistics (IFMS) from June 16-18.

New insight shows most migrant arrivals to Europe in 2024 are young men (87%), but women are more common on the Western African Atlantic (24%) and Western Med (17%). Reasons: 1️⃣ Economic need (54%) 2️⃣ Personal violence (30%) 3️⃣ Conflict (21%) bit.ly/DTMFMS #IFMS2025
