BioSteward Farms And the reason farmers and advocates have worked so hard to gain the little bit of trust they have is because the big boys in Ag pay lip service to responsibility, and tell farmers it's actually their job to fix the problem. AG put this on farmers shoulders.

Nick Saik I know a nail in the coffin for me was the state cattlemen's group president who joked repeatedly about murdering transwomen in the group's monthly pub, then tried to pass it off as an attempt to rally the troops in the face of bad markets when he got pushback.

Every time you sell out Ag's public trust, it means more pressure is put on regulators to drop the hammer. Fear of GMO is propelled by a lack of trust in Ag, which is propelled by bigots in Ag who tarnish it's face. And you keep pushing this tech back for people who need it.
