The single most insane decision in any Pokémon Game is to make it so that Golbat cannot evolve in FRLG until the post-game, but still play the evolution animation every single time it levels up, and I'm just happy an entire new generation will get to experience it.

This might just be the funniest thing GameFreak has ever done and I’m only just now learning about it. Like I knew you needed the Nat Dex for the evos after the original 151 but not that it would play this and go “…?” Every time😂 who green-lit that?
