People are rightfully pointing out how women's successes often result in men's jealousy & sabotage/punishment. I'm also thinking about how snapshots of one area reflect the larger world for women. Women can rise to the Olympics & still not escape men's violence. It's everywhere.

And how are men responding? Lecturing women to protect ourselves, justifying systemic oppression, demanding their feelings be coddled, citing harm men do to men that they only ever care about when shouting down women, & attacking women. Their discomfort results in more harm to us
