Another great article about the often bleak, unreliable career path of a #postdoctoral #AHP clinical researcher in the #NHS . Watson et al. (2024) share the need for system-wide change. rdcu.be/dHMud #clinicalacademic
A great read-thank you Jim Reeder! I resonated with our responsibility as childhood disability researchers to fiercely advocate for our children & family research partners to be authentically involved, which requires constantly examining our own position & motives.
The end of 4 incredible days training the first ever #Encompass group facilitators for my PhD pilot study. Iām so very proud of this team and cannot wait to see them in action! Main themes that emerged were:
1. The power to empower
2. Adult learning
3. Facilitation > teaching
An opportunity to join the Rae Martens -Family Engagement In Research Program community! Highly recommended for anyone hoping to do research in authentic partnership with families.

What a pleasure to spend two days with the best team ELFT Childrenās OT being trained in CO-OP by the wonderful Dr. Hortensia Gimeno! Looking forward to putting it into practice and the many potential collaborations in East London for community childrenās therapies!
A brief 5 minute mapping exercise during our PPIE group today shows the services that the parents/carers of children with complex neurodisability accessed when their child was under 5 years old #complexneurodisability #cerebralpalsy #parentcarer
Just brilliant to see my wonderful colleagues Louis & Sanaa from ELFT Childrenās OT presenting their work in exploring the needs of CYP with DCD. Unbelievable work has gone into creating this pathway & they are now trialling a football intervention! #theotshow2023
