M.M-R. used the transparent number construction set to create different numerals from 1 to 10. He followed the number building cards to help him select the correct pieces needed to form each numeral.

STEM Challenge - Can you make a shovel that can scoop pretend snow (salt) using the materials provided? R.S. used a straw, paper towel roll and tape to create his shovel design. ā€œI put tape to make it strong and better. This (straw pieces) will help get all the snow gone.ā€

STEM Challenge - Can you make a shovel that can scoop pretend snow (salt) using the materials provided? S.S.’s first design used a straw which kept bending when she attempted to scoop the snow. She changed her design to a popsicle stick handle. ā€œThe stick is stronger.ā€ said S.S.

STEM Challenge - Can you make a shovel that can scoop pretend snow (salt) using the materials provided? K.J. used a an assortment of craft materials to create his shovel. ā€œMy shovel got two shovel (blade) sides. You shovel on this side and go get more snow on the nother side.ā€
