Thank you to PiE and HEON for the engaging performance 'Future Forward' yesterday! Year 8s learnt about the options available to them after GCSEs and the importance of making a plan for their future. Lots of laughs and audience interaction throughout!

Our Y10 Performing Arts students had a great morning at Yvonne Arnaud Theatre learning about creative careers within the theatre industry! Students worked with the director, rigged lighting, learnt about backstage roles, heard from GSA graduates and worked with the marketing team.

An unusual lunchtime as we joined in with the spirit of #comicrelief for our own bush tucker trials in a Teacher vs Student competition. On the menu were all sorts of unpleasant things! Well done to all for being great sports - with £370 raised for a great cause!

We were visited by Animal Aspirations from University of Surrey yesterday. Year 7/8s prepared for surgery, learning aseptic technique with gloves and gowns, tried some dog bandaging and used the microscopes to help diagnose potential illness. Great fun and lots of learning! 🐶 Surrey WP & Outreach

Some of our Year 10s took on different maths challenges yesterday, whilst learning about exam technique and revision skills. You all showed fantastic reasoning and problem solving skills when tackling those tricky questions! 👏 Thanks Surrey WP & Outreach for an insightful day!

Congratulations to our Year 7 boys football team after a stunning 8-2 victory last night over Guildford County School in the semi-final of the Guildford football tournament. The boys are undefeated this year. Next stop - the final! Thanks Mr Fornasiero for coaching the team!

Some of our Year 9s learnt about future pathways and transferrable skills yesterday with Surrey WP & Outreach They took on engineering challenges such as bridge, shelter and raft building, developing their teamwork, communication and resilience skills! A great day!

Today Year 10 completed the Elite Skills Academy with British Army 🇬🇧! They took on different problem solving challenges, developing their teamwork, communication and resilience skills 💪 🧠 They also learnt about the variety of careers within the army and the different pathways in.

What an afternoon of house events! Everything from rounders, quizzes, Dance, Music, chess, boardgames, Maths challenges, Art and crafts meant everyone had a chance to win their house some points. Oh, and we had a silent disco for Year 9s as well - just for fun!

Congratulations to our Class of 2024, who graduated at an incredible event at the University of Surrey on Monday. We are so proud of the young men and women they have become and excited for the next steps of their journey. Next stop: Prom!

Some of our Y9s had an inspiring day with SATRO on the Surrey Research Park today, hearing from local STEM employers including Surrey Satellites, ipTEST, BAE Systems and NatureMetrics. Great to hear about the variety of jobs in these industries and the skills involved!

We're pleased to share that the OFSTED report from the visit on 5th and 6th June has now been published. It recognises Kings as “a very happy school where pupils learn and achieve well.” The report confirms that Kings “continues to be a good school.”

On Monday, some of our Year 8s worked with The Smallpeice Trust to design, solder, glue, build and market sustainable water pumps. Each team even had a finance manager to make sure the build was on budget. Great to see so many creative designs to solve the same problem!

Anyone for Tennis? Some of our students were lucky enough to be able to experience the incredible atmosphere at #Wimbledon this week. A fabulous day for all of them!
