While the Trump administration’s recent escalations against Venezuela may seem new, they’re not: the United States took similar steps against Panama’s Noriega in 1989. Glenn Greenwald explains:

Really concerning signs of escalation in the Caribbean. Jennifer Griffin asks an excellent question: in what plausible world would you need a stealth fighter for what is allegedly a counternarcotics deployment? Go-fast boats aren't equipped with anti-air missiles.

Bingo give this man a cigar! The whole B.S. story stinks to high heaven. This was cold-blooded murder for political gain. Plain and simple.

“Laws are for weak people” is quite the argument! But not a new one, certainly. It’s just very funny to hear coming from the same people who are also championing the idea of “law and order.” Which is it? Should we follow the laws, or ignore them?

Stupidville. There are already long-established maritime laws and legal protocol for dealing with drug smugglers. The US has no authority to blow up civilian boats on the open sea with no warning and no due process.

T r u m p said he'd end the Russia-Ukraine war on day one. But he didn't end it; he didn't even try. So, y'all can stop saying T r u m p is the peace President. Also, the sound jets that drop bombs on countries that are not attacking us is NOT the sound of freedom.

The US Government itself has repeatedly said that the amount of drugs that comes into the US from Venezuela barely registers. Drugs are the obvious pretext for this latest Trump military intervention from his new Department of War. Regime change is the actual goal, obviously:

🇻🇪🇺🇸 "I say THIS to the American public… don’t let yourself be FED one more lie for one more fratricidal WAR!" President Maduro compares the US narrative on Venzuela to the lie that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and reiterates their desire for peace.
