Dear Friends,  Just after 5 a.m. on July 5th, our beloved friends Liz and Matthew Hammond were driving through Central Texas with their three children—Surya, Khalil, and Malaya. A torrential downpour made it impossible to see that a bridge had been washed out by floodwaters.
