The ward has received Ksh 2M as bursary,access roads have been improved using murram including Ndiaini, Mutirithia and Kilimambogo roads. From February 2018 we are starting Mwihoko DayKio Health Centre. Construction of Mwihoko Polytechnic & Mutuya Pri. Sch. will begin soon.

This evening I met residents of Ndarugo ward, Gitwe village, Gatundu South where we discussed development projects. Residents complained of illicit brew which I promised to eradicate.

This morning with my DG Dr. James Nyoro and other leaders I welcomed H.E Deputy President William Ruto for the official launch of the 30kms Gatukuyu- Mataara Road.

Today in my office I held a consultative meeting with KeNHA representatives about the upcoming NAIROBI- MOMBASA EXPRESSWAY that will be built along the SGR route.

We will partner with investors willing to develop the park where my county will lease 5 acres of land to them for free. The county has set aside 500 acres of land in Nachu ward to build industrial zone.

To make the market conducive for both traders and customers my government will soon start rehabilitation of the market roads, improve the sewerage system, construct new shades as well as install market beam lights (Mulika Mwizi)

This is in line with our promise to the great people of Kiambu of ensuring that traders get modern markets with basic amenities for their businesses to grow.

I later inspected ongoing tarmacking of Birgham road in Thika town. The road connects Mosque Road and Harry Thuku road. #Kabawira.

Inspecting the proposed Mugumoi-ini ward office block that was built by the defunct Thika Municipality but the office has never been used. The building will be renovated & used as a health centre. The rest of the land will be converted into a recreation centre.

I also met officials from Jamofasta,who represent residents of Jamhuri,Ofafa and Starehe estates in Thika. We discussed issues touching on their welfare.

This morning I attended a church service at A.I.P.C.A -Kimuru in Ruiru,Biashara ward. I was accompanied by area MCA Hon Elijah Njoroge. Residents of Biashara ward are now enjoying 14 access roads that have been upgraded by the county government.

Ruiru market is set for upgrading at a cost of Ksh 271M. County officials are meeting the market's business fraternity this Monday to start relocation plans to pave way for the contractor.

I WAS BLESSED after a powerful sermon by Bishop David Oginde at CITAM THIKA where the Deputy Governor Dr James Nyoro and other elected leaders were present.

I went to Makwa village, Gatundu N, where I am determined to fight illicit brews and drugs at all cost. I visited illicit brews "brewery" at River Chania.

We held a public prayer meeting at Makwa shopping centre accompanied by area MP Wanjiku wa Kibe, Kiambu Women Rep. Gathoni wa Muchomba and area MCA Martin Githaiga and with overwhelming support from residents we declared WAR on illicit brews and drugs.

This declaration is informed by deaths of young people in the recent past as a result of these brews and drugs. To rehabilitate alcoholics from the village, I started a feeding programme for them starting tomorrow and will facilitate and engage them in cleanup exercises.

Attending 9th World Urban Forum in Malaysia. As the COG on Land, Planning and Urban Dev. I am leading over 20 other Gov's from Kenya during this years forum which was officially opened by Malaysian PM Sri Haji Mohammad Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak.
