It would be my brother Tony’s 71st birthday today. Here’s a lovely memory of his birthday party, maybe 9 or 10 years old? He’s the lad with the tennis racket. Tony was killed in Northern Ireland on 5th April 1979. Loved and missed by us all. #AllYouNeedIsLove

Today we attended The Trafford Veterans CIC relaunch event for their Mobile Hub. The idea of this mobile hub is to give veterans a safe space to receive support and to sit and talk about their experiences. Amazing idea from Trafford Veterans and we can't wait to see the progress!

We laid flowers and paid respects at Knocknairshill Cemetery, Greenock in memory of Lance Corporal Joseph Pool, who was killed in action in Afghanistan on this day in 2010, aged 26 Lest we Forget this brave Scottish Warrior 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🙏

7th September,2012 Guardsman Karl Whittle, aged 22 from Bristol, of 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, died at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, from gunshot wounds sustained on August 14th 2012, in Nahr-e Saraj, Helmand Province, Afghanistan Lest we Forget this brave man🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

Karl was shot 12 times at close range by insurgents whilst he was at a checkpoint, and fought courageously for over 3 weeks before succumbing to his injures, what a strong young man he must have been 🙏 🇬🇧
