Great reporting and summary by Ross Dellenger. Few additional thoughts:

+ Even with a Roster Value 'salary' cap of X (call it $20M annually), the opportunity for 'NIL' deals will remain. This will be so difficult to govern. How do you discern if a sports marketing opportunity

Educators, policymakers, and business leaders want the same things for future generations: good jobs, secure incomes, and successful lives.

But how do we ensure that future?

How do we know an education after high school will lead to equitable opportunity for all students?

“I’ve run into more closed doors than I expected, which has made me take a second look at other possibilities… It sometimes makes me wonder if I made a big mistake. I know I didn’t, but there are times when those doubts sneak in”

I’ve said the same thing. We have to connect.

Note: The Athletes Organization has 2,495 college athlete members, 1,348 of whom are football, men's basketball, and women's basketball players from power conferences.

Collective bargaining will be hard without an organization representing players' interests and AO wants to serve that role.

For the first time in history, a Players Association for college athletes presented its entire solution to a team and its staff. After the University of Alabama-Birmingham's football team heard Athletes.org's (AO) full presentation, the entire team decided to become

Irony 😂 Like me & others experienced sitting in college athletics departments and administrators against this 💔 That's why Diversity in leadership is important to provide the lens of the life experiences of revenue-generating student-athletes who are Pell Grant recipients ❗️

This is so important to listen to. Cause we will cast HBCU’s to the wolves and say we don’t do this or that, when paying players has been going on so long that NIL just made it so you won’t get in trouble.

Listen to this. We’re 40-50 years behind from offering poor and middle

Settlement discussions in the House case are getting more serious.

If a settlement does happen, it will likely include a revenue sharing model that schools can opt into.

An agreed upon rev sharing cap of around $20M is being discussed.

As we witness shifts in corporate DEI initiatives, it’s crucial to recognize that economic empowerment is fundamental to the African-American struggle today. It transcends geography and touches every aspect of life. bit.ly/4aNRqfT

Honored to be assisting JC Latham with his TM app.

As Josh Gerben states in his thread, I'm seeing many athletes seek protection of names, nicknames, and logos while they are still in school. has empowered athletes to think about growing businesses/brands at an earlier age!
