I hate it when organizations/companies gather the women in their offices and take pictures for IWD and post about commitment to women cause they have to. Not discouraging the voice but (as always) I hope each commemoration is embedded in actionable efforts. #IWD2025

Truly a huge and personal loss! Dr. Fikru is the first person to have conducted a very complicated heart surgery to a family member of mine 26 years ago, in Ethiopia! An icon has been lost. He will forever be remembered in our household. May his soul rest in eternal peace!

This is the እንሰት (the stem of false banana tree) - used as an anti-bacteria to clean hands before eating in Southwest, Keffa. Mostly due to the lack of clean water.

A country that is 'aiming for' an 8% passing rate of national exam and 'working towards' 15-20% passing rate for the future. While having zero plans for the ones who fail. I dont know how low we can go 😔
