Making some parts for the new front subframe. These will be mounted on rose joints giving adjustable ride height/camber angle as inspired by Team Bird Racing Won't be done until Dunsfold I'd say but we're getting there. Nathaniel Olson Dressel Racing

Unfortunately other commitments along with an inherant lack of design considerations in crucial areas (steering), Kestrel will not be attending Dunsfold and likely not Castle Combe either. We'll see if we can make the final, but if not then maybe we'll have a finished car next yr

Finally got around to ordering the replacement rim which arrived today. Time to get it laced, then make a steering linkage, make the brakes actually work, make a body and so on... Need to pick up the pace if we're to make the final this year! Dressel Racing Team Bird Racing

Unfortunately, we were unable to make the progress required to get Kestrel running so this marks the end of the road for Kestrel's 2018 season. Causes of issues experienced at Goodwood identified and nearly fixed. Soon we should have a running car to improve for the 2019 season.

Callum has made this short video to show who we are and what we're doing. Whether it's actually worth watching is a decision we'll leave up to you. x.com/CallumKstrlGPT…

Technical question: Are 160mm brake rotors big enough to provide the 300N of stopping force required? We're running 16" wheels and front brake only. Dressel Racing Sahal @Ramjet_GPT

Looking 4 some 16" 349 Wheels for Thru Axles (preferably 20mm) Will consider wheels w/Disc Hubs an wheels w/Drum Brake hubs. Drop me a message if u know of any for sale, hopefully we can get our car rolling soon! Dressel Racing Nathaniel Olson Sahal CAUC SGA Racing

A quick insight into how we designed Kestrel. We should hopefully have some more engaging footage soon! x.com/CallumKstrlGPT…

Running out of time for Dunsfold, so we took the plunge and invested in a set of Hope Pro4 20mm Axle Hubs. Would rims without eyelets do for now? We're running out of cash 🤔 Nathaniel Olson Sahal CAUC Dressel Racing

Does anybody know of any alternatives to the foams suggested in the rulebook to satisfy T7.9? Seems a bit wasteful to buy a boatload of insulation just to make one nosecone. Greenpower Education Trust Nathaniel Olson CAUC Sahal

Using an extension bar, a socket and a warped brake disc to drill PCD to bolt sprocket to hub. This would have been much easier with a mill + DRO / laser cut sprocket but this one was free! Turned out ok given the sketchy method. Nathaniel Olson Sahal Dressel Racing

Just been given the news that our wheels won't be back from the builder in time for the Greenpower Education Trust Dunsfold Test. Does anyone have any spare 16" wheels (20mm shaft) which we could borrow just for 1 event? Cardiff Greenpower Dressel Racing Sahal CAUC SGA Racing
