I can’t believe I’ve sold just under 200 of my books since Christmas! Think I may need to start my fifth book in the series some time soon! Time to celebrate with homemade cake!

Have been trying to change the clock on my oven for about 3 hours and failed! Mentioned it to my next door neighbour who sent over her 9 year old grandson who changed it in about 30 seconds! When I thanked him he replied “That’s ok, I like helping old people!” I’m only 58!

Just been baking Rice Krispie chocolate cakes with my neighbour’s 4 year old granddaughter. Don’t know where the most chocolate is - on her, on me, on my dogs or on my kitchen surfaces! The great clean up begins …!

Couldn’t sleep, up since 4 am! Dogs gave me a disapproving look and went back to sleep apart from Teddy who raced round the kitchen for about 10 mins then collapsed! Made Victoria Sponge - my piece after feeding the neighbours! Delicious!

Awake and up again at 4.30 am! This is becoming a habit! Sitting in my conservatory, dogs next to me, listening to the birds, life’s sooo good! Pot of tea and palmier time I think!

Up at 4.30 again! This is not good for my friends and neighbours waistlines as I end up baking! Maybe I should potter about my garden instead but baking is so much more fun! Guess I could try reading … not good at sitting still though! Any ideas?!

Sitting at Queens watching the tennis with my bestie when she suddenly announces “You know, if your balls fall out your pocket when playing, you get penalised.” I mean … what do you respond to that with!

Down in London with bestie for our annual two week visit to Wimbledon. She decided to treat me to breakfast at a fabulous top restaurant. Had maple French toast and pancakes with maple syrup! Yes, I had two breakfasts! Couldn’t decide which one to have!

Have left Bestie in hospitality suite whilst I dash to Court 2 for Swiatek match!

Was really concerned I wouldn’t get to see Coco Gauff at Wimbledon today but, yes, she is now playing! And what a beautiful outfit she is wearing. Such a fabulous day at Wimbledon!

Am at Wimbledon on my own today watching Sviatek as Bestie claims she’s exhausted. More like she’s at my London house eating the Cherry Bakewell scones and Millionaire Shortbread I baked this morning! I think I’m going home to crumbs …

At Wimbledon waiting for the Alcaraz match followed by the Raducanu match. Bestie has managed to join me again today, fuelled by my goodies she ate yesterday, as predicted! Am currently in the hospitality suite enjoying strawberries and cream! Utterly delicious!

Another manic day at Wimbledon! Sinner followed by Swiatek. Can’t stand Djokovic so won’t be staying for him. But first, a very big breakfast is called for!

Have just overheard it’s World Chocolate Day so am off to L’Aderach and The Italian Bear and every other chocolate shop in between!

Now it’s my turn to be star struck. Too busy staring at Roger Federer to concentrate on the De Minaur/Djokovic match. I love coming to Wimbledon!

Beyond excited for Wimbledon today! Yesterday was fantastic and today should be just as good! It’s gone so fast! My last chance to eat my body weight in strawberries and cream!

Well Wimbledon is over and it was the best one ever! Both my favourite players won so off for a celebratory breakfast before heading home! Home for July then off to my farmhouse in France for August and September! It’s all go!

Super thrilled! Just sold another 120 books on Amazon! Given me an incentive to start on my fifth book …!
