Presented at Next Sense ToD conference today advocating for why Explicit Direct Instruction should be the pedagogy of choice for deaf and HoH students. Students "coping" at school, and looking "happy enough" will never be a reasonable academic goal. EDI all the way!

On Saturday in Ballarat, women marched to demand their safety after 3 alleged murders. That afternoon in Bondi Junction, 5 women were killed at the hands of a violent man. Too often, women don’t feel safe at home, work, or at the shops. The epidemic of men’s violence must stop.

Further to Hoyts adding twice a week open captioned movies, two sources state that on Sunday Wollongong and the Ritz in Sydney advertised their movie as captioned at the venue and at the beginning of screening and then… no captions. #HOYTSAUSTRALIA
