On Saturday in Ballarat, women marched to demand their safety after 3 alleged murders. That afternoon in Bondi Junction, 5 women were killed at the hands of a violent man. Too often, women donโt feel safe at home, work, or at the shops. The epidemic of menโs violence must stop.
Further to Hoyts adding twice a week open captioned movies, two sources state that on Sunday Wollongong and the Ritz in Sydney advertised their movie as captioned at the venue and at the beginning of screening and thenโฆ no captions. #HOYTSAUSTRALIA
Team VCD had an incredible day at the Science of Teaching & Learning Australia symposium! Thank you to Science of Teaching & Learning Australia for providing #Auslan interpreters. Today is a very significant one for Victorian children, thanks to a major announcement on reading instruction by our Ed Minister โฆBen Carrollโฉ. Lots of work to do but itโs great to know that this is the confirmed way forward ๐ search.app/Vmei3aq13mL11cโฆ
Especially important for our students with disabilities to get this happening in ALL schools!! Feels like Christmas morning ๐ Letโs Go Victoria!! For all the advocates that have been fighting for change- We crossed the line and now the work begins!!! ๐ช๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐ค๐ฝ๐ค๐ฝ
A rising tide lifts all boats. We have to get this right, so that *all* children, regardless of postcode, languages spoken at home, neurodiversity and other variables, can succeed and flourish. Kudos to โฆBen Carrollโฉ for courage and leadership. theage.com.au/national/victoโฆ
