I know circumstances vary but the child is yours at the end of the day.

If you have another child, are you going to give the child to your parents? So when do you actively start being involved in the children’s lives? When they grow up?

Weitsi yo nna nkare ke maaka, so many people are living this. Asegore they’re refusing you that, your child obviously visits you and stuff during holidays etc.. They too just have a deep bond and they really struggle letting go.
Moreso with first grandkids..
