The loop around rural Godinton House Park was much better: 5 species of Thrush, Green & Chaffinches, 2 sp of Woodpecker, Stock Dove, Jay, Sparrowhawk, 2 more Snipe & the star birds… 4 Siskins (1 cracking male), a fantastic Little Owl & a squeaking Water Rail along the Kentish Stour CP

A whopping success last Friday at the Easter Bunny Challenge at Victoria Park Ashford with 500 participants completing the wildlife trail. Children learned about the animals living in the chalk stream on the banks of the River Stour and earned some chocolate prizes! #britishwildlife

Such a privilege to meet these two barn owl chicks from the Kentish Stour CP nest box that’s been in our orchard for a few years. We’ve had kestrel broods in the box previously, these are the first owls! They were weighed and ringed today, should fledge soon 💚 💚
