Tip from fellow guest Try the 555 bus to Keswick passing through Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere etc. With an all day ticket or Senior Pass you can get off and on as much as you like.

Kendal Hostel is fully booked tonight and the Unity Festival taking place in the Brewery Gardens makes it a lovely place to be

First hostel I have stayed in as it was only an overnight stay on a cycling weekend. If they are all like this .... I will be staying in them all the time. Had a double room with ensuite and was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Able to use kitchen area and dinning room

Katie Really friendly hosts and clean place to stay. The hostel is very central and has a lot of character. I felt really at home and my dog did too. Would definitely stay here again if in Kendal.
