This is a love story. Lee Ching-yu, who fought tirelessly for her husband’s release, finally gets to say: “My husband is home. He is still the same Lee Ming-che as five years ago. He is still the same Lee Ming-che I fell in love with 20 years ago.”

Everyone at SFT is thrilled to hear of the release of Taiwanese activist, Lee Ming-che. Lee never should have spent a second in CCP prison. His experience reminds us all of the importance to fight for #Taiwan's democracy and to always #KeepTaiwanFree. theguardian.com/world/2022/may…

Today marks the 78th anniversay of the 228 masscare where thousands of Taiwanese people were killed by the KMT. In a similar fashion, PLA on Thursday has vowed to "get you". Let's not forget what happened in 1947 and CCP has to be stopped! #neverforget #Taiwan228 #keeptaiwanfree

On 4/24/70, a PhD student pulled the trigger on then-Vice Premier CK Chiang in NYC. He shouted “Let me stand up like a Taiwanese!” upon being arrested after the failed attempt. It was believed that Chiang started political reform due to this incident to localize its regime. #tbt

“China says one thing and does another.” On Apr 23, Ting Wu, U.S. Deputy Political Counselor at the UN, called out Beijing: “Zhōngguó yánxíng bù yī, shuō yī tào zuò yī tào.” A rare moment of using a Chinese idiom to highlight the growing gap between China's words and actions.
