Thank you to everyone who joined Homes RI and Providence Streets Coalition 👟🚲🚌🛴♿🚗🌲/SaveRIPTA 🚌 to advocate with us today, and to the legislators who took the time to hear about the importance of funding both housing and transit to ensure every RIer can thrive, no matter their income or zip code!

Our advocates are so awesome @_holyspokes Katie West #Devin! let’s go and keep advocating! #Housing #Transit #Climate

“There’s so many benefits when families have access to safe, stable housing,” says K. Joseph Shekarchi “we HAVE to work together. We are making progress because of the advocacy in this room.”

Our Office joined HomesRI, K. Joseph Shekarchi, Valarie Lawson, Cherie Cruz, @MackDistrict6, & advocates to address the critical need for safe, healthy, & affordable homes. It is absolutely essential that the rental registry is properly implemented, & we will continue to fight for it.

THANK YOU to our speakers, elected officials, coalition members and all who joined us today as we uplifted our 2024 legislative priorities! K. Great to have (my representative!) Speaker Joe Shekarchi participate in our legislative event yesterday to highlight housing priorities and deliver a strong message about the continued work we need to do collaboratively to keep making progress on addressing our housing needs.

Advocacy works!🦾🎉 Thank you to K. Joseph Shekarchi, House Finance, + many champions in Rhode Island House of Representatives for increasing proposed $100M Housing Bond to $120M. Building more affordable homes + creating welcoming communities is one of the single best investments we can make as a state. 1/4

It was wonderful to see so many faces of folks dedicated to uplifting affordable housing at the Housing Network of Rhode Island Annual Mtg, including my own Rep. + housing champion Joe Shekarchi who took time out of his busy schedule to swing by. Proud to be part of the team!

Thank you! Rhode Island House of Representatives just passed House Bill 7304 Sub A, sponsored by Jennifer Stewart, which increases the time requirement notice for rental increases from 30 days to 60 days, and 120 days for people over the age of 62 who are not in a congregate care setting #FairNotice

Proud to endorse this federal Tenant Bill of Rights as an individual and have my org Housing Network of Rhode Island endorse as well. Tenant protections are a vital piece of redressing the housing crisis in addition to building more homes. You can too: p2a.co/ABmOGUB National Low Income Housing Coalition HomesRI
