So, get this. . . A 5,900-year-old whitebark pine (Pinus albicaulis) forest has recently thawed out from beneath receding alpine ice in the Beartooth Plateau in Wyoming. The trees were found at 3,100 meters in elevation, some 180 meters above the current tree line. 🌲 🔗
