Today’s hearing’s key takeaway right from the top: we need CMSGov to cover CT Colonography #VirtualCT for #colorectalcancer screening to save more lives. This cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths yet it is preventable w/ screening.

.Judy Yee reminds us that an American dies of #coloncancer every 9 minutes. By passing HR 1298, we can do something about it. Make #VirtualCT, or CT Colonography, available for all patients who want and need it.

We surveyed patients to find out why they picked CT Colonography. They cited that it’s less invasive, didn’t require being put to sleep, and because they didn’t have to have a driver. The real cost? 19.6% of patients “would not have had the exam” if #VirtualCT weren’t available.
