Learning about division with remainders is more delicious with freshly picked apples! We also made a connection to a recently read shape poem about a crunchy apple. 🍎

Our GWE 4th graders took Sharon Creech’s “Love That Dog” to ❤️ by collecting items for the Humane Society - Sumner County. Thanks to our generous families for helping promote great hearts & helping animals while they wait for their forever homes.🐾Emily Smith 蹴球男子404🏆

Students got a kick out of putting on their “writing glasses” to investigate the writing techniques of Mr. Seymour Simon! Fun with fourth!

These fourth graders excelled at creating the earth’s layers with food. Not very gourmet, but definitely memorable and creatively delicious! “More whipped cream mantle, please!”

Fourth graders had fun creating character posters for Hatchet. How is Brian responding to the challenges of his extreme setting? They definitely enjoyed this assignment more than Brian did!

We had a fantastic camping-themed End of Module celebration. The students read their Hatchet-inspired survival stories in front of fellow “campers” while eating s’more ingredients & granola bars. I think that Gary Paulsen would have enjoyed it. My class really loved Brian. 🪓🌲

When learning about Greek mythology in the fourth grade, it is extremely beneficial to have a full scale replica of the original Parthenon located nearby! They loved it, of course!

I love to see their personalities and creativity shine with one of my favorite end of the year ELA activities! I will miss them!
