One amazing update from this weekend's Mainstream UMC email is that they noted, "If the petition is submitted by United Women in Faith, it passes at a 99% rate (for real)." That's some incredible organizing! United Women in Faith #UMCGC

This is a tactic. Being intentionally obstructionist to prevent items they oppose from coming to the floor. #UMCGC

As United Women in Faith offers it's presentation, it's worth noting the report from MainstreamUMC that petitions submitted by United Women in Faith pass at a 99% rate. That's some incredible influence and organizing! #UMCGC

Currently debating the addition of a new Central Conference in Africa, which would add two new episcopal. areas. It originally was five, but GMC-affiliated churches removed the financing capacity for those three other bishops. CCs should know who is really responsible. #UMCGC

It is odd to see monumental change via a routine vote on a consent agenda with 93% support, masking the work that thousands of faithful witnesses have been doing for decades to get to this point. Today doesn't erase past harm, but is a welcome promise of what is to come. #UMCGC
