If you see the ballerina spin clockwise your right brain dominates and if you see the ballerina spin anti-clockwise your left brain dominates. Some can see the ballerina spin in both directions - can you control the rotation you can see?

Somewhat a trick statement as this likely isnt about brain hemispheres at all! Most people initially see a clockwise rotation, which is more likely due to our hyper-vigilant subcortical system. Cover everything except the foot touching the ground and you can flip the rotation

These two are so compelling and use the same effect. Although the objects in each do not move, the secret to the motion perception is in the edges of the flashing images. Fascinating how the brain interprets a visual motion illusion

Mathematics, physics. We live in a chaotic, unpredictable universe. This is a grid of 812 double pendulums, each with slightly different initial conditions for the two angles of the pendulum. By Jonathan Nafziger, tinyurl.com/ya2da9vg, Used with permission

One of the best works of art on a ceiling I've seen according to the rules of perspective. A wonderful 3D illusion that gives the impression that the ceiling is much higher than it actually is. It's hard to see where the building stops and the work of art takes over.

Congratulations to ISRO on their amazing achievement of successfully landing the #Chandrayaan3 spacecraft on the moon today. With a smaller budget (~$75m) than Gravity (~$90m) and Interstellar (~$165m) it costs less to go into space than to make a movie on it!

This is an intact human nervous system dissected by 2 medical students in 1925. It took them over 1,500 hours. There are only 4 of these in the world.

hi Volvo Car UK, an ERAD failure on a 2019 Volvo XC60 with less than 36k miles, bought used approved and has a Volvo service history. Dealer says Volvo have refused to contribute to the cost of repair. Is this the level of reliability and customer service to expect from you?

Amazing colours in the sky last night lit up by the Moon and Venus. If only the third object was a shooting star!! Unfortunately Mercury wasn't in view
