I used to like Stephen Colbert, but when his show became an endless stream of Trump jokes I quit watching. Politics ruined him. He wasn’t funny anymore, so his show was cancelled and won’t be missed.

A rebel at heart, yesterday I microwaved a 6 inch frozen pizza in the “restaurant” that once had this sign hanging above its order window. Now who wants to buy this big honkin’ pizza oven? This one-time kitchen needs to turn into our guest bedroom/ recording studio.

I’m thankful for everyone who try to remain civil despite arguments. It can get noisy.

In preparation for our big move we’ve been seriously downsizing. The last few days we’ve been creating Marketplace “curb alerts” for free stuff we’re putting on our sidewalk, and it’s been fun meeting the folks that come by. I feel lighter.

Restaurant flipping tip of the day: If you don’t have curtains yet, use the restaurant’s tablecloths. Great day today. Got all the carpet (with its 20 years of accumulated grease ground into it) pulled up and out. Tomorrow we build stud walls.

My father-in-law is a stud building master. First new wall for our bedroom.😁

Restaurant Flipping Tip for the day: If you move in to the restaurant you intend to make your home and get your washing machine working before your dryer is installed, put up a clothes line in your living/dining room.

Restaurant-To-Home Update: The pizza oven has left the building. Had to remove part of the doorframe to get it out, but it’s moved on to an Italian pizzeria in Detroit. I think it’ll be happy there. And we’re happy about gaining the extra space for our guest bedroom.

Democrats are clutching their pearls because President Trump met with Putin. In my humble opinion, diplomacy is better than war.

Kind of fun seeing the Democrats being forced to take ridiculous positions, just so they can oppose Trump, even when his common sense ideas are supported by 80% of the public. If President Trump wants less crime, they almost have to say they want more of it. 😆

Had a guy pull out the walk in cooler and freezer. Opened up lots of space for the recording studio. I’m eager to get these remodeling projects behind me, so I can get back to making music. In the words of Robert Plant, “It’s been a long time since I rock and rolled.”
