The UK is proposing banning #trophyhunting imports from >6000 species, apparently for #conservation. But policy should be led by evidence not lobby group #misinformation, & analysis by Dan Challender & others shows the Bill risks doing more harm than good biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

A shoutout to Sandra Lai @sandralai.bsky.social who spent a month with us in the sweltering heat of the tropics. You brought your ecological prowess and added so much to the team. You don’t often meet people who are absolutely made for what they do. You are a field biologist , through and through.

This is a lot of brilliance in one short video - the great work of Nuh Engoh, the excellent filmmaking skills of Chrishen Gomez, and dulcet tones of Jenny Linden 🙌 Well done everyone!

Why did a shy #cloudedleopard eat a domestic cat in Perak, Malaysia? WildCRU’s Chrishen Gomez explains what may have led to this & highlights the importance of protecting #forest to avoid human-wildlife conflict in this short video: 🎬 bit.ly/3YTFJRM Oxford Biology

Part 2 of Chrishen Gomez’s Gillmoore Saga is now online… full of action-packed, hard-won wisdom from the #forests of #Borneo and realm of exceedingly elusive clouded #leopards. 🌳👀See: bit.ly/4glXui7
