As a woman activist from Karamoja, I pledge to mobilize the indigenous women to speak up for their rights. Most women aren’t involved in decision-making because of cultural norms. Girls are preferred for marriage more than boys.

Today we gather, Karamoja Women Peace Forum Dialogue gathers regional members to discuss peacebuilding, reflect on lessons from the Lodwar Ateker Women's Conference, and review resolutions from the KCE, LPA, and East African Peace Caravan to develop actionable steps.
